During Cine Gear 2023, we stopped by the NANLUX booth to talk with Andy Lin about a bi-color COB LED fixture still in the prototype stage: the Evoke 2400B. So let’s take a closer look at this 2400W LED light that should start shipping at the end of this year! NANLUX focuses on creating high-output LED fixtures for the professional filmmaking market. While NANLITE, its brother company specializing in LED lights for independent filmmakers and content creators, is topping the scale at bi-color 720W fixtures, NANLUX is competing with HMIs. Indeed, some lights, such as the NANLUX Evoke 1200 and 1200B bi-color we reviewed, have incredible light outputs. Recently, NANLUX also launched the Evoke 900C, its first 940W RGBLAC LED light. Furthermore, ahead of Cine Gear 2023, the company teased a very high power fixture: the NANLUX Evoke 2400B. Image credit: CineD NANLUX Evoke 2400B – features While the Evoke 2400B is still in the prototype stage, NANLUX is relatively quiet about many of the fixture’s details. Here is what we know so far: Similar to the Evoke 900C and 1200B, the Evoke 2400B will be IP55 rated, meaning it’ll be dust/water resistant and can be used during light rain. You can adjust the color temperature from 2700K to 6500K with plus and minus Green/Magenta adjustments up to 80.
