The character of Spider-Man is one of the best in history. To me, he's up there in the pantheon with Batman and Superman, not just as a recognizable hero, but as one we can relate to and love. The movies about him make boatloads of money and are so fun to watch. We've gotten new ones so rapidly over the last 20 years that there are a lot to sort through, but today, I wanted to go over my ten favorites. Let's dive in. Spider-Man 2 (2004)A classic of the genre that perfectly balances character drama with superhero action. It's a masterpiece in telling us the story of Peter Parker, who happens to be Spider-Man. We're so invested in his life and his struggles, in a way no other hero movie really has shown. Sam Raimi is such a perfect director for these movies because he understands the pulp aspects and also the heart. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)A visual masterpiece with a heartfelt story that redefined what a superhero movie could be. This animated movie injected new life into the character and really revamped the visuals. I was obsessed with the huge world it built and how it gave us a new spin on not only the character's origin, but also the character — Miles Morales felt like the perfect way in for a new generation. Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) The first of the Tom Holland movies injects us into a world where Spider-Man is already in the Marvel universe...
