Since it was announced that Denis Villeneuve was attached to direct the next Bond movie, people have been on the edge of their seats waiting for a writer to be announced. Now, we have one. Steven Knight of Peaky Blinders fame is on board to script the next installment of the posh British hero. The screenwriter spoke to BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast recently and expanded on his vision for the character. He said, “It has always been on my bucket list, and it’s fantastic to be invited to do it — I can’t wait to get started.” He went on to say, “I’m hoping that, being a Bond fan for so many years, it will be imbued into me and I will be able to produce something that’s the same but different, and better, stronger and bolder.”That's a big promise, but I'd love to see what a bolder version looks like, especially with modern warfare and tech so deeply intertwined. I had hoped we'd get a fun Bond soon, as well.
