NANLITE FC-720B and FC-720C Announced – 750W Additions to the FC Series

NANLITE has introduced two new high-output additions to its FC series, the 750W bi-color FC-720B and the full-color FC-720C. Both are positioned as compact, Bowens-mount spotlights for filmmakers who need serious output. If you regularly find yourself trying to simulate sunlight through a window or push light across a larger interview setup, these are clearly aimed at that workflow. The FC series has been expanding steadily over the past few years. We previously looked at NANLITE’s smaller FC-60B and FC-120B models, as well as the RGB-based FC-120C, which introduced the full-color engine into the more compact end of the lineup. With the 720B and 720C, NANLITE is now pushing that same design language and control structure into its highest-output FC fixtures to date. Output and positioning Both fixtures are rated at 750W and use a standard 45° reflector for the quoted output figures. The NANLITE FC-720B has a maximum output of 12,690 lux @3m (9.8 ft) at 5600K with the 45° reflector. The NANLITE FC-720C outputs 11,400 lux @3m (9.8 ft) at 5600K with the same reflector, and reaches 3,700 lux @3m (9.8 ft) in green. That places them in the range of larger key lights or daylight simulation in smaller locations. The 720B gives you slightly more white-light output, while the 720C trades some of that intensity for extended color control.
