FUJIFILM is continuing their tradition of announcing new photo and filming tools at the X-Summit, taking place on June 12th in Shanghai, China. This year, we have already witnessed one major event that took place in March in Prague. Then the FUJIFILM GFX100RF was announced. This large-format, fixed-lens camera was a first for the company (in this sensor size), and judging by the number of B&H orders visible in our affiliate backend, it seemed like this camera was on its way to becoming quite popular. (See our experimental video where we put this camera together with the BLAZAR Nero 1.5x anamorphic adapter.) Another “mini X-Summit” took place in L.A. in May to celebrate the launch of the unique X-half camera, giving people a chance to get hands-on and try this innovative new tool. Moving forward, in a short reel posted on Instagram, Yuji Igarashi-san from FUJIFILM announced their next event, the FUJIFILM X-Summit, scheduled to take place on June 12th at 5:00 AM Eastern time. What will be announced? Well, the company is still keeping their cards close to the chest, but we will, of course, update this article when additional information becomes available.
