    1908, EU, almost all monarchies.

Biggest retreat of republics before huge attack.

We live in similar times. Hard times, but amazing.

  • Pandemic drones to monitor, detect those with COVID-19

The drones can monitor people in public crowds, workforces, airlines, cruise ships, convention centers, border crossings or critical infrastructure facilities. The technology can also be used to monitor potential at-risk groups, such as seniors in care facilities.

  • @jleo

Capitalism likes to solve tooth issue using ass as entry point.

  • For the first time, the UK government is recommending that the public wear face-coverings in public settings such as mass transportation and some shops.

What will be responsibility for telling otherwise all previous time? Court-martial?

"A mass vaccine or treatment may be more than a year away. Indeed, in a worst-case scenario, we may never find a vaccine," said Johnson. "So our plan must countenance a situation where we are in this, together, for the long haul, even while doing all we can to avoid that outcome."

Nice, so now greatest capitalist countries tell us that we already know. Their science sucks in practical tasks.
No, it is good in consulting superhero movies and making many articles about them with serious tone, but otherwise...

  • Brave New World, no more? Social distancing hats at cafe.

  • @Jleo...so drones are going to diagnose , when their test don't even work right half the time ?

  • Women warned about possible infertility because of the coronavirus. A study conducted by scientists from the Department of physiology, Jining Medical University.

The doctors came to the conclusion that infection by the coronavirus can affect the reproductive system of women.

The scientists noted that the pathogen can penetrate into the organs of the urogenital system, as they are mostly ACE2 protein .

The coronavirus can infect the ovaries, uterus, vagina and placenta through the “widespread expression of ACE2”. In the end, it can lead to infertility.

  • Montagnier further said the virus had escaped in an “industrial accident” from the Wuhan city laboratory when Chinese scientists were attempting to develop a vaccine against HIV.

    and

    An HIV Vaccine is Coming.

International AIDS Vaccine Initiati>ve (IAVI) remind us on HIV Vaccine Awareness Day (HVAD) that the effective AIDS vaccine requested by President Clinton in 1997 is on its way.

“Only a truly effective, preventive HIV vaccine can limit and eventually eliminate the threat of AIDS,”

President Clinton said. Nearly 20 years later, these words still ring true, even as unprecedented global commitment, generous international funding, great scientific breakthroughs have brought tremendous progress in treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS.

From GAVI site (Gates / Pharma huge thing)

What if we effectively have join Chinese / US / EU effort to make vaccine (or under this pretence HIV itself:-) inthe form of unstoppable flu like virus with very low fatality rate. And if such indident really occured and we got one of the early versions out of the lab accidently and actually everyone in certain circles knew about it :-)

It can also explain why Trump pushing it so hard, as even remote proofs will put an end on the long history of one of US parties with huge trial coming.

  • Twitter was one of the first companies to go to a work from home model in the face of COVID-19, but we don't anticipate being one of the first to return to offices.

The past few months have proven we can make that work. So if our employees are in a role and situation that enables them to work from home and they want to continue to do so forever, we will make that happen. If not, our offices will be their warm and welcoming selves, with some additional precautions, when we feel it's safe to return.

Here's how we're thinking about the next few months:

    • Opening offices will be our decision, when and if our employees come back, will be theirs.
    • With very few exceptions, offices won't open before September. When we do decide to open offices, it also won't be a snap back to the way it was before. It will be careful, intentional, office by office and gradual.
    • There will also be no business travel before September, with very few exceptions, and no in-person company events for the rest of 2020. We will assess 2021 events later this year.

    Things will change.

  • So, children had been left for Act 2 or 3.

Two to three children are coming into one Long Island hospital daily with an inflammatory disease thought to be tied to COVID-19, health care officials said Monday.

Most of these young patients are so ill, they are immediately put into the intensive care unit at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, said Dr. James Schneider, chief of pediatric critical care medicine at the center in New Hyde Park. He said more than 30 patients have been admitted with what is being called "pediatric multi-system inflammatory syndrome associated with COVID-19."

Hospitals across the state by Monday had reported 93 cases of the illness, which can cause inflamed muscles and breathing problems, state officials said.

    Expect horrors soon.

  • This period of the pandemic has me worried. The symptomatic case count in my town is now in the 40s, up from 3 weeks at around 12, which was late march. I fear that we're going to get hit now, especially with people piling into the stores like Wal Mart, filling it to near-capacity. Many don't social distance, many don't masks.. you get the idea. Even with sufficient mask protection, cross-contamination is so easy to occur in one's everyday life.

  • Regardless of how you feel about Fox News, the info presented here is verifiable. The goal is to destroy, and build up from scratch with a new set of rules that make us more dependent and more subservient. I knew it would happen at some point, I just didn't think it would happen so quickly.

  • Sanders said that the official statistic is that 80,000 Americans have died, but there are some leading epidemiologists who believe the real death toll is higher, perhaps even 50% higher, what did Fauci think of that, he asked.

Fauci said: “I’m not sure if it’s going to be 50% higher, but most of us feel the number of deaths are likely to be higher.”

Time to see where Trump hides them. May be some mass graves or secret cremations? :-)

  • Why should we believe any of these "we think" numbers? We cannot personally verify any of the data. For all we know, the pressure put on doctors to list covid on the death records could be artificially inflating the numbers and we're well below 80,000. There's just no way to know.

  • @joethepro

Well, now numbers are not impressive enough.

And economic issues require some new horrors, can be children thing coming, can be artificial second wave, or something new like new mutated virus.

  • Brazil reported a record 881 Covid-19 deaths in 24 hours on Tuesday, its health ministry said, taking its total to 12,400 and making it the world’s sixth worst-affected country in terms of deaths, according to John Hopkins University figures. Its total of 177,589 confirmed cases is the world’s seventh-highest.

Earlier far-right president Jair Bolsonaro – who has attacked social isolation measures introduced by state governors – issued a decree declaring beauty salons, gyms and barbers “essential services” that could open.

I have issue with it. Mordor fully followed WHO instructions, yet it is 2nd most affected country with constantly rising exposure.

  • Another shites will try to build horrible life for you

Google CEO Eric Schmidt joined the governor’s briefing to announce that he will be heading up a panel to reimagine New York state’s post-Covid reality, with an emphasis on permanently integrating technology into every aspect of civic life.

“The first priorities of what we’re trying to do,” Schmidt said, “are focused on telehealth, remote learning, and broadband … We need to look for solutions that can be presented now, and accelerated, and use technology to make things better.”

Just one day earlier, Cuomo had announced a similar partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to develop “a smarter education system”. Calling Gates a “visionary”, Cuomo said the pandemic has created “a moment in history when we can actually incorporate and advance [Gates’s] ideas … all these buildings, all these physical classrooms – why, with all the technology you have?” he asked, apparently rhetorically.

  • As for the benefits of canceling currency, there are none. The PayTM is a fucking mafia that limits access to your money at random. Corruption has not been cut, its upto the payer to figure out a different method of payment. And it devastated the Indian economy.

  • @zcream

Well, it is all the same.

    Paypal. PayTM, Alibaba.

Whole goal is to make new structures that will control you.

  • Based on published numbers US goverment budget expenses per one coronavirus patient that had been placed in hospital are around $500000 and growing.
