Since the launch of the new Kickstarter campaign in April, the upcoming “I’m Back 35” digital back is already funded by a good 2000%. I’m back 35 The I’m Back digital back for old analogue SLR cameras was quite popular when it first hit the market back in 2018 but that didn’t stop Samuel and his team to go back to the drawing board to develop a new version. The next iteration was all about medium format cameras, again the old, analogue ones. Now it’s 2020 and we’re about to see the third version of the I’m Back back: This time labeled I’m Back 35. I’m Back 35 So what exactly is this thing? Since we’re talking about old(ish) analogue cameras, the I’m Back 35 is all about transporting old but trusted tech into the modern age: it acts as a digital back and substitutes the actual film stock with a ground glass and a sensor. Use your beloved vintage lenses from back in the day and bring your old camera, too. Add the I’m Back 35 to it and you’ll be rewarded with vintage-looking, dreamy footage.
