ZEISS Otus ML Lenses for Z-Mount Start Shipping

ZEISS has officially released the first two lenses in their new Otus ML series: a 50mm f/1.4 and an 85mm f/1.4, adding Nikon Z-Mount to Canon RF and Sony E mounts. Designed for photographers who want full manual control and high optical precision, these lenses carry over the familiar Otus character while adapting to a mirrorless format. They’re stills-first lenses, but features like internal focus and a de-clickable aperture ring may give them added appeal for filmmakers. Back in February, we wrote about the Otus ML lenses when they were first announced for mirrorless cameras. Now that the lenses have started shipping, let’s take a quick look at what each one offers.
