When it comes to telling stories about heroes, there are plenty of tropes surrounding the protagonist. The one I have the most trouble writing is called the Chosen One, but it's also one of my favorites to watch. The Chosen One trope is one of the most common in literature, film and TV. It's at the center of two of the biggest franchises of all time, and every year people try to mimic the storytelling device to find their own fortune on the spec market.
