Yes, the Atomos Ninja V is an oldtimer by now, but is it outdated? Absolutely not. And the reason behind it is that Atomos is constantly updating it to match today’s expectations – which is great news for the filmmaking community. And the fact that Tilta has just released another cage for it (and the Ninja V+/Shinobi) is further proof that the good old Ninja V is not going anywhere any time soon. The Atomos Ninja V was initially launched in 2018 (you can find the original NAB interview here), but it has received a number of useful updates over the years, so it’s far from obsolete. Tilta Cage for Ninja V/V+ The new Tilta cage doesn’t offer any extraordinary features, but it can still be very useful when slim protection with a number of attachment points is needed. It offers 1/4-20″ threads throughout, some with locating pins.
