RØDE Wireless Micro Bluetooth iOS Update Adds Direct Pairing with iPhones

RØDE has released a firmware update that adds Bluetooth pairing for iPhones to its compact Wireless Micro system. Available now via the free RØDE Capture app, the RØDE Wireless Micro Bluetooth iOS connectivity eliminates the need for a physical receiver when recording to iOS devices. The update streamlines mobile workflows for content creators using the RØDE Wireless Micro. Users can now connect the system’s transmitters directly to their iPhones via Bluetooth—no need for USB-C or Lightning adapters. RØDE Wireless Micro Bluetooth iOS pairing now possible via firmware update The new Direct Connect feature allows Wireless Micro transmitters to pair directly with iPhones using Bluetooth LE. Until now, iOS users needed to connect a dedicated Lightning receiver to capture audio. This update removes that requirement entirely, offering a cleaner, more flexible mobile setup. RØDE CEO Damien Wilson described the release as a response to user feedback: “With Direct Connect, we’re making content creation more seamless than ever.
