Swedish lighting manufacturer Profoto has announced the LP2000C, a 2000-watt LED panel targeting film and television production. The unit weighs 27kg (59 lbs) and measures 112cm x 66cm x 20cm (44.09 x 25.98 x 7.87in). Let’s dive into it. The LP2000C operates within a wide color temperature range of 2000K to 15000K with adjustable green/magenta correction. Its color rendering performance is impressive, with a CRI of 97, TLCI of 97, SSI Tungsten (3200K) of 86, and SSI D55 of 74. The fixture is powered by its “Core LED engine” and features constant current dimming, ranging from 0.1% to 100%, with multiple dimming curves available. Power consumption varies by voltage: maximum 2000W at 240V/15A, or 1600W at 120V/15A. The unit accepts both 100-127V and 200-240V input at 50-60Hz through a Neutrik PowerCon True 1 connector.
