Blackmagic Design has announced a significant price drop for their URSA Cine camera kits. Since launching the line in 2024, the company has focused on reducing production costs and is now passing those savings directly to customers. The result is a new price point that makes these large-format digital cinema cameras far more accessible to filmmakers looking for high-end image quality at a lower cost. Released just last year, the URSA Cine lineup introduced a 17K camera built around a large 65mm image sensor. If you’d like to dig deeper, we’ve covered the full-frame 12K model in detail, and you can also watch sample footage shot with the 17K 65. And for those considering it for high-end productions, the URSA Cine 17K 65 is now officially approved by Netflix. URSA Cine 17K 65 Camera and URSA Cine EVF Kit (lens not included).
