Accsoon CineView M7 and M7 Pro Monitors Upgraded for Camera Control for Sony and Canon Mirrorless Cameras

Accsoon has rolled out a major firmware update for its CineView M7 and M7 Pro smart monitors, enabling direct camera control for selected Sony and Canon mirrorless models. The free upgrade lets users adjust key settings such as focus, shutter speed, aperture, ISO, white balance, and trigger recordings – all via the monitors’ 7-inch touchscreens. The new feature supports cameras including the Sony A7S III, A7 IV, A9 III, FX30, FX3, A7C II, as well as the Canon R5, R6, R5 II, R6 II, R7 and R8. According to Accsoon, the monitors’ high-speed processors ensure minimal input lag, providing smooth and precise operation – an important factor when working with on-set camera controls. Simple setup and intuitive operation Activating camera control is straightforward. A USB-C data cable connects the monitor to the camera, and once the function is enabled in the monitor menu, on-screen control icons appear. Image credit: Accsoon A dedicated touch focus screen clears the interface for easy selection of focus points, allowing operators to tap or drag to reposition focus, with support for all autofocus zone modes. The monitors can also emulate a half-shutter press to initiate autofocus when needed. Recording can be triggered simultaneously on both the monitor and camera.
