The 1080i->1080p was the subject of much discussion in this thread when it began a couple of weeks ago. I'll repost my question on the PTool topic if you think it might get an answer there.

To which of the other modes is 25p HBR more tightly related when it comes to GOP and bitrate? 1080p24 or 1080i? Or is it fully independent in some of these matters?
