For photos, it is almost a OM-D repackaged (and without EVF) and with some better specs - great for photos, really.
For video, it's the same specs as the OM-D - only that the 60i was scrapped and now it only have 30p, in MPEG-4AVC/H.264, same bitrate (20Mbps). Since the sensor output in OM-D was already 30fps, can't see much difference.
If the price was $799, would be a great stills camera. Waiting for the new OM-D (for photos, don't expect too much from Oly in the movie front - if they use their tech cooperation with Sony to bring the AVCHD 28Mbps that Sony uses in their compact HX line, would be very interesting).
When peaking is active, the screen's refresh rate slows noticeably.
Hmm. Pentax peaking does not cause any refresh rate change and I do not know about any other camera that had such issue.
Good news that cheap 17mm F1.8 are not far away :-)

IBIS has the dreaded shutter shock issue. The fast shutter movement (e.g. 1/60, 1/125) & firm hands grip might send enough shock to the sensor so that IBIS might try to fix it which might create double imaging sometimes. All of previous PENs have such issue. That's why PENs have anti-shock feature that delays photo taking where 1/8 is the shortest delay. Press shutter button, opens shutter curtain, waits, then captures lighting info.
In-Lens IS has no such issue. Also ILIS keeps the sensor cool.
in body image stabilisation. I wish more companies did this.
Does it come in yellow? It has to have a yellow version. :-)
Agree, ugly. I'm scared to see the front side....
The EVF should be the most comfortable ever! Look at the size of it, probably should comparable to FF OVF
Frankly it's ugly.
