They have $20 now. Is ok if we just write "For PhotoKina guys in note on Paypal".
Jesus guys help them out. They are working hard and providing a lot of good info and samples.
@Vitaliy_Kiselev Sorry Vitaliy. I wasn't implying we should buy through B&H -- in fact, that's not possible today. Plus the Amazon link offers 99 cents reduction -- a great deal!
What I find interesting is that the information on the B&H page is written quite differently from the Amazon page. In fact, the Amazon page doesn't even mention HDMI anywhere! Maybe Amazon is targeting a different market segment, with B&H going for the more "technical" end? I wonder where the copywriters get their information from -- it must all come from Panasonic, yet it's so different.
@VK I was thinking Sony :) Outsourced, too? Re: The screen of the GH3 is sharper, but the color is off from the photo. Trade-off or misaligned?
LOL. Looks like Pentax battaries.

Amazon link is present in first post or wiki :-)
No peaking or zebras? Really?!? :-(
Adorama don't have a listing for the GH3 yet, but B&H have updated. Neither site will accept orders today due to the Jewish new year.

Check the link, there is a lot more descriptive text there.
HDMI Monitor-Through
The HDMI terminal on the DMC-GH3 connects easily to a large-screen monitor for real-time image checking. The HDMI output also enables external recording, with simultaneous recording to the SD card.
This is one feature that the GH3 handles better than the Nikon D800. It can output HDMI for recording while simultaneously writing to the SD card.
Guys, remember to support Dieter and Igor who are making coverage.
Right now today we got exactly $0. :-)
Yeah, that high dynamic profile may be what we're looking for. The desaturated retro mode looks promising too. I'm really glad contrast and noise reduction can go down to -5 now. Thanks to everyone who went to the event. Now I just need to know when and where I can get one.
@essami: The picture profiles are highly customisable. Check out the official site ;)
Regarding a flat picture profile: There is this thing called "High Dynamic" (http://panasonic.net/avc/lumix/creative_control/modes/high_dynamic.html)
It's part of the "Creative Control" and seems to give a pretty flat image.
But I doubt it will work in the manual Video Mode, only in Creative Mode.
edit: Just realized that it's a common thing for many of the latest Lumix models, so nothing new. Nevermind.

All pretty typical for modern times :-)
We are done here in cologne. We have been at the booth had the GH3 in our hands, tried a few things and did not get any answers. The people there did not know more as what was printed in the brochure. I hope my interview on wednesday with the Panasonic Manager will give answeres on the many questions that are still open.
want to upload - use zip for such large images, ok?
From what I've seen I'm not impressed with the image. Clean HDMI is plus tho.

Yes, but I have no idea what profile was used for those or if there are more options to tweak profiles then in GH2? I assume not since that likely would've been mentioned...
Any word on how much DR we are actually getting, or is that something that has to be tested once folks get the footage back to do tests?
Those photos look pretty darn good. I guess the price point isn't that understandable when you consider you're also getting a much better stills camera. Still feels about 200-300$ too much for my wallet...
You already saw original footage from camera in big amounts? :-)
One thing I'd really love to know if there's a way to get a flat profile out of the cam. All the video's I've seen so far have very deep crushed blacks that makes it impossible to recover shadow detail in post.
