Rumors are that during spring Olympus management seriously discussed exact percentage of females, people of color and lesbian/gay in their public photo crowd, they hoped that it can save a day. No in sales, no. But they hoped to apply for move credits using it.
Actually I saw statistics for two largest photo forums - >90% are white (aka supremacist) males, on third one that also discuss video it is >96%.
