Two more Panasonic parts photos
In terms of converting files for editing. If I was going down the prores route...would pro res 422 ( 147mb) be adequate or should I used pro res 422 HQ (22mb)?
what about this?
ahahah wow really good, thing i wanna know is? How in the hell didnt that guys hat fly off!?!!!!!!!!! Haahahah
Superb GH5 stabilization: Quote about the video:
I was holding the GH5 with one hand only (my other hand holding onto the rail so I won’t get throw off the boat) and held the camera up above my head so I can get a clear view. The jet boat ride was extremely bumpy and it was really windy as well. As you can imagine, I wasn’t holding the camera steady at all but the output footage seems really quite stable
@FabLopes Of course the guy who made the tests wasn't kind enough to specify that "little" information on the article, but he wrote it in the m4/3 rumor site after some AF debates: http://www.43rumors.com/new-detailed-gh5-test/#disqus_thread
@Eno where is that information in the article, couldn't find it
One interesting use for FN-buttons would be driving video focus directly in/out by pressing FN buttons or joystick. Also sensor zooming with FN-buttons or joystick would be nice. GH5 have these features but only with pre-programming.
@FabLopes That "good review" you've shared was made with a pre-production Panasonic GH5 with firmware 0.4 (very early stage firmware).

Apparently the gh5 starts shipping this coming Wednesday (22nd), also a good review here:
ok update my davinci resolve and cdu drivers and thats working now- can now easily convert any cube luts into the required vlt format for the gh5! thanks everyone!
GH5 available with a nice little £150 cashback deal in the UK at Mathers..
my resolve is crashing out...if anyone can assist in converting a lut to a vlt for me would be much appreciated!
Thanks everyone. Lutcalc seems to be easy to convert .cubes to .vlts, need to understand better thought the input and output ranges as they can really effect the image...getting a lot of 109% and 100% questions which i am not sure about...might try an export from resolve instead!
You can export .vlt LUTs from Davinci Resolve. To convert your .cube LUTs, I suppose that you could load them to a node in Resolve, and then export that look as .vlt, and even do some tweaks if needed.
These Vlog and LUT documents may be useful.
@imackreath have a look at lutcalc i believe it can do conversions, way cheaper than lattice
I'm wondering what kind of colour depth enhancements we should expect when downsampling the new 10 bit 422 DCI 4k to 2k in post? Will we be getting approaching 4444?
It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!
