Just received my Fuji XT-2 today. I gotta say it is a really nice camera and so is the kit lens that comes with it. The build quality on the body and kit lens is superb. The body itself is just little to small for my liking I wish it was just 1/2 inch taller but other then that I like it. I am waiting for my lens adapter to come in so that I can test it against my Nikon D750 in terms of image quality and sharpness.
I am realistic about this camera and don't expect miracles out of an APSC size sensor but if I can shoot at ISO 3200 perhaps even ISO 6400 I will be one happy camper. I have a photo shoot this weekend so I will use both cameras for the shoot we will see how it turns out. Let me know if you guys want me to test anything specifically on the Fuji XT-2.
Cool video shot with Fuji XT-2.
Silver Version of X-T2 coming soon.
I was finally able to locate and order the Fuji XT2 with the kit lens. Man this camera was very difficult to purchase. Nobody had these cameras in stock and when they do its gone as soon as it is available.
I hope that I can shoot stills with this camera and be happy with it. I am not planning to replace my Nikon Full Frame cameras. I just want something that is a little smaller that I can carry with me pretty much all the time. I was able to find a local camera rental store to take a look at it and the viewfinder is incredible. I really like the retro look of the camera but the biggest selling point for me was the EVF and the manual dials on the camera itself. I still need to order the, 23mm 1.4 and 56mm 1.2 and possibly the 90mm F2 but I want to try it out with the kit lens and some lens adapters first to make sure that I am happy overall with the image quality before going all in in terms of lenses.
I should have the camera by January 4th so if you guys want me to do some tests on the video side with this camera I am more then happy to accommodate ;-)
Happy New Year Personal View Members ;-) Best Regards Azo
Different limits in different modes.
You mean by the 10 minutes limit?
Read first post to understand why the title is such.
I think that the Post headline is not very correct after all these reviews and samples, this is not really a "Limited 4K" camera.

I would love to get an X T2 if only there was a way to get it around 1300€
Has anybody some color graded (for cinmatic purpose) footage?
Ok enough said I am sold on this camera. This will be my Christmas present to myself ;-)
The Fuji XT2 with battery grip seems like an excellent mirrorless camera for stills. I downloaded the raw files into Lightroom and gotta say that I really like the PROVIA/STANDARD and ASTIA/SOFT profiles. I compared that to all of the different Nikon profiles and I actually prefer the Fuji colors over the Nikon colors different strokes for different folks.
I only shoot in raw but after watching the camerastoretv video on Nikon Jpegs decided to shoot Raw plus JPEG recently. Guess what the JPEGS came out great to the point where I basically used the JPEGS instead of the raw files for a Portrait session that I did yesterday.
On the internet everybody seems to be raving about the colors from the Fuji XT2 especially the JPEGs SOOC so I am probably going to buy the Fuji XT2. I am a little hesitant though and am not sure what to believe because I don't necessarily believe everything I hear on the internet. The other benefit for me would be EVF on the Fuji XT2 over a optical viewfinder on my D750's which means less chimping.
I was going to buy the Sony A99II but then the A mount is not very flexible. At least with the Fuji XT2 I can buy the 56mm 1.2 and the 23mm F2 and then adapt my other Nikon lenses to the Fuji XT2. I thought about the Sony A7R2 but a lot of people seem to complain about the Sony colors and I don't want to spend all of my time messing with colors in Lightroom/Photoshop.
Maybe I am being picky but download the files and open them up in Lightroom and see for yourself. Let me know your thoughts....
@Vitaliy Agreed. Having never had a colors histogram even for stills is confounding. Moving from photo mode to best evaluate exposure to video mode to shoot is beyond clunky. Very easy to bump the SS dial and shift from 1/50th without noticing. Etc.
I should have said, Billy, look at the exposure tools in a Canon after a Magic Lantern install. Do that.
