  • Another variaton on them them of Skier like stabilizer design.

Yet it has many advantages of best steadicams of this type, like iFootage. And it is still more affordable.

I don't have any yet. Get one and make them.

You can check topics about similar steadicams. They work good usually.

This one is just more advanced and more compact. Plus price is sweet.

  • Having tested several stabilizers a lot of them suffer from the same issues, either they are so temperamental (Merlin can get thrown off by the smallest of breeze) or they are just very difficult to get the steadicam smoothness which of course why they don't cost as much. Also have to factor in that it takes a lot of years of experience to master steadicam moves.

But some people are also very diligent and could probably make anything work with some patience, tweaking, and by getting out there and shooting a lot, so at that price it's probably worth some buying it and seeing what they can do with it.

As always, thanks for finding these things and posting them Vitaliy. It gives people a lot of options.

Best idea is to get biggest sled and use vest. It'll be always smoother, just because of physics.

Small steadicams requires some mastering and skill. But they are much more portable.

Such construction as HRWY stab is popular as it places hand closer (ala Merlin) compared to usual similar steadicams (due to smaller gymbal) and also allows to adjust angle as you wish.
