The wait is over. After years of anticipation and whispers from the depths of Pandora, the first official trailer for James Cameron's highly anticipated sequel, tentatively titled Avatar: Fire and Ash, has finally dropped, and it’s everything we hoped for and more. Let's dive in. The 'Avatar: Fire And Ash' TrailerWhat's Going On in the Trailer? Everything is told visually, so these are all just summations. We travel through Pandora and see a world with flying whale-like elephants, undersea creatures, and then we move toward the volcanoes where another set of Na'vi live. The footage immediately reveals a terrifying new conflict, showing Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), and their family engaged in combat with the warriors of the Ash People. Leading the Ash People is the new villain, Varang (Oona Chaplin), who delivers a chilling statement: "Your goddess has no dominion here," which signals a deep ideological war happening between the Na'vi. The threat is compounded by the sinister return of Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang). Now sporting dramatic white, black, and red warpaint, he appears to have forged a terrifying alliance with this new Na'vi faction. And we have massive human machines all over the planet chasing our heroes down. And it all looks wonderful. So Much Beautiful CGI It wouldn't be an Avatar movie without pushing the boundaries of filmmaking technology, and this trailer is no exception. The CGI is seamless. The interplay of light and the sheer scale of the worldbuilding are unlike anything put to screen....
