Sony field tests Airpeak at Iriomote Island, Okinawa. Spotted by PetaPixel, Sony has posted new test footage of its upcoming drone Airpeak over Iriomote Island in Japan. The new video was recorded using the Sony a7s III, FX3, and 14mm F1.8 G Master lens. Since Sony first announced it was entering the drone game six months ago, they've been slowly releasing updates to the public about its development, including this wind-resistance test and road test. While Airpeak won't compete directly with the less expensive DJI Mavic or Autel EVO II series, the setup will more likely be compared to the likes of Inspire 2, Freefly Astro, and other high-end drones that allow filmmakers to customize the camera setup to your specific needs.
