The Fast & Furious franchise kicked off as a movie about an undercover cop infiltrating a street racing gang to get intel after a series of robberies. That cop, Brian Walker, was portrayed by Paul Walker, who instantly became a star alongside Vin Diesel. The two of them turned this action movie into a global phenomenon, and the world of the movies expanded into spies and world-ending disasters they had to thwart. These movies defined the action genre with its high-octane stunts and themes of family. But Paul Walker's tragic passing in 2013 left a void in the hearts of fans and in the narrative of the films. His character was given a touching and respectful send-off in Furious 7, driving off into the sunset to take care of his family. It was a moment that served as a beautiful tribute to the actor. And it genuinely floored me when I saw it because it was so tasteful and respectful, love radiated out of it.
