Sony has released a new firmware update for the Sony a7S III and the a7 IV that mainly fixes some bugs and improves the cameras’ overall stability. Let’s take a look at these improvements! After the frustration over firmware updates on Sony cameras (we wrote about this some time ago), Sony is taking care of their ‘older’ models by releasing updates like this Firmware Update 3.01. The Sony a7S III was released in 2020 and the a7 IV was launched in 2021 as the successor of the a7 III.
