Shutterstock – Unlimited Music Subscription for $199 Per Year

Shutterstock, one of the leading stock media licensing platforms, just launched a new annual unlimited music subscription plan for content creators and filmmakers. At $199 per year with full access to the entire Shutterstock music library, this is an aggressive offer from the New York giant. Let’s take a closer look at it! For example, this is the case with Musicbed, Music Vine, or, more recently, Audiio. This new trend gives filmmakers and content creators access to thousands of songs for the licensing cost of only four to five tracks a couple of years ago.  I have no doubts that these licensing plans are the future, and we can’t stop it. Having an unlimited number of licenses per year and being able to use these songs for nearly every kind of project is an advantage for filmmakers. But, what about the earnings of musicians that create those tracks? The earnings per download, which are ten to a hundred times less than a tailormade score, can’t be compared to the “traditional way.” Will it keep growing? Only the future will tell us, but until then, Shutterstock is joining the game.
