SHARGE Disk Tiny and Lightweight M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure and Drive – Now on Kickstarter

Chinese manufacturer SHARGE recently launched its sixth crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for an interesting M.2 NVMe SSD enclosure and drive: the SHARGE Disk. This IP54 enclosure can take 2230-style NVMe SSD up to 2TB, and it has a built-in USB 3.2 Type-C port compatible with EDC devices, including cameras. So let’s take a closer look at this tiny external SSD! M.2 NVMe SSDs are some of the fastest drives at the moment, and they’re available in various shapes and sizes. Last year, we reported about a Sintech metal adapter that can turn a 2230-style M.2 NVMe SSD into a CFexpress Type B memory card. SHARGE, a Chinese electronic device manufacturer mainly known for its power banks and chargers, is back on Kickstarter with an enclosure that also uses 2230 M.2 NVMe SSDs: the SHARGE Disk. SHARGE Disk – Features The SHARGE Disk is one of the tiniest and most lightweight M.2 NVMe SSD enclosures on the market with dimensions of only 43 x 29 x 13mm/1.69 x 1.14 x 0.5in for a 24g/0.85oz weight.
