Poll: Do You Want to See FUJIFILM Come Out with a Dedicated Cinema Camera?

In this weekly poll, we are interested in finding out what your opinion is regarding FUJIFILM making a dedicated cinema camera (Or “A-Camera” as some call it). Currently, FUJIFILM is making attractive hybrid cameras like the X-H2, X-H2S, and GFX100 II (Just to name a few), but we keep hearing from many users over and over again that they are actually hoping to see FUJIFILM stepping their game up by producing something more fundamental. FUJIFILM is one of those companies that in the last couple of years significantly improved the video capabilities of their hybrid mirrorless cameras. But what about producing a dedicated “A-camera”? One that can have all the existing features in a different camera body shape that is more suitable for some users to work with. Most if not all of the technology they already have although other common features like enhanced connectivity for example will have to be added. And of course, there is a question of the sensor size as FUJIFILM is making APS-C or large format cameras only. For those who are expecting to see a full-frame camera from the company, prepare to be disappointed as FUJIFILM was very clear in the past that they have no intention to compete in this arena. Here at CineD, we believe that FUJIFILM can only gain from producing such an “A-camera” (Main camera). Their current offerings are great for independent filmmakers. (Of many sorts).
