Cameras and lenses are usually at the center of our polls, but today we want to step aside a bit and talk about “camera accessories”. What do we define as camera accessories? Well, the sea is so vast, so let’s simplify: anything on the periphery – cages, tripods, sliders, matte boxes, filters, and so on – counts as supporting gear. Now, a HUGE selection of accessories from an endless number of companies is currently available, so for this poll, we narrowed it down to companies that make cages but offer much more beyond that. In other words, if a company produces accessories but does not make mirrorless/cine camera cages, their name won’t be included here. I would also like to apologize in advance if you don’t see your favorite accessory manufacturer. Just drop us a line, and we will take a close look at your suggestion. Remember the days when camera accessories were prohibitively expensive? (At times, even more than the camera itself)… Well, those days are history since the appearance of the “DSLR revolution”. In my opinion, this moment marked a shift. People were refusing to pay more for support gear than for the camera itself. On top of that, a wave of Chinese manufacturers entered the market, initially offering products of just-OK quality.
