PolarPro has launched the CineBlack filter, a ½-strength Black Mist diffusion filter also available in the Helix MagLock system. The filter softens harsh contrast, gently blooms highlights, and keeps shadow depth for a cinematic look. Let’s see what it can do! The CineBlack filter is the latest addition to their lineup and expands their range of tools for filmmakers and photographers. The look of film The CineBlack filter softens digital contrast, producing a smoother highlight rolloff and a gentle bloom in bright areas. Shadows stay defined, so images keep their depth without looking flat. It’s designed to evoke Kodak cine film, and though optional, the included Lightroom presets offer a straightforward way to carry that look into post, or just use the filter on its own.
