Nikon NIKKOR Z 40mm F/2 Announced

Nikon has just announced a new lens in their Z lens lineup: the NIKKOR Z 40mm F/2. This compact and lightweight prime lens cover full-frame sensors, and it’s the company’s most affordable lens for Nikon Z cameras, with a price of only $299. Let’s take a closer look at it! Nikon is speedy at expanding its Z lineup of lenses after introducing the Nikon NIKKOR Z MC 105mm F/2.8 VR S and NIKKOR Z MC 50mm F/2.8 Macro in June this year. All these lenses cover full-frame sensors and are compatible with the Nikon Z 6II and Z 7II, as well as the upcoming flagship Nikon Z 9 camera. The Nikon Z 9 is expected to be released later this year and hopefully catch filmmakers’ attention with impressive, especially after the recent release of the Canon EOS R3 that raised the bar.
