CIPA (Camera & Imaging Products Association in Japan) published their latest camera production data (orange: 2022, black: 2021, blue: 2020): May 2022 CIPA numbers by ZoetMB CIPA has predicted 5.29 million DSLR and Mirrorless bodies for calendar 2022 and Nikon has predicted a market of 5.1 million for April ‘22 to March ‘23. We’re predicting 4.3 to 4.9 million compared to: 2021: 5.348 million 2020: 5.308 million 2019: 8.462 million 2018: 10.76 million 2017: 11.68 million Mirrorless bodies now take 83.5% of ILC shipped value. DSLR shipments fell off a cliff in May. They averaged 163,000 in the first four months of the year, but fell to 95,000 in May.
