A24 just dropped a brand new trailer for Marty Supreme, and it's already generating serious Oscar buzz for Timothée Chalamet.Chalamet stars as Marty Mauser, a character loosely inspired by real-life table tennis champion Marty Reisman, who hustles his way through New York while chasing his dream of stardom and success alongside his friend Wally (the feature debut of Tyler Okonma—aka Tyler, the Creator). This project marks Josh Safdie's first solo directorial effort since splitting from his brother, Benny, following their collaboration on Uncut Gems. The cast is impressively eclectic. Gwyneth Paltrow plays a movie star who becomes romantically involved with Marty. The supporting roster also includes Fran Drescher as Marty's mother, Penn Jillette, Abel Ferrara, and Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary. The film recently received a standing ovation during a secret screening at the New York Film Festival (per Variety).Check out the trailer here. - YouTube www.youtube.com Marty Supreme releases Dec. 25....
