Laowa 19mm F/2.8 Zero-D GFX Released – Ultra-Wide-Angle Medium Format Lens

Laowa has just released a new ultra-wide-angle lens for FUJIFILM GFX medium format cameras: the Laowa 19mm F/2.8 Zero-D GFX. This compact and lightweight manual lens give you a 110° field of view with Zero Distortion, which is ideal for landscape and architecture shooters. So let’s take a closer look at it! Regarding ultra-wide-angle lenses for GFX medium format cameras, you have very few options from FUJIFILM. Indeed, the widest lens available at the moment is the FUJIFILM GF 20-35mm F/4 R WR zoom lens, which retails for no less than $2,500. If you’re looking for wider GFX lenses, Laowa has already released two Shift lenses: the 15mm F/4.5R Zero-D Shift and the 20mm F/4 Zero-D Shift. However, if you don’t need the Shift features, the company has just released a new, more affordable, and faster option: the 19mm F/2.8 Zero-D GFX. Like most Laowa glasses, this fully manual ultra-wide-angle lens is entirely made of metal.
