Jonah Hill Defines His Style with Vampire Weekend Video

Mid-90s was the breakout hit of the summer. Now Jonah Hill refines his vintage taste with an ode to New York City. Jonah Hill went from comedy character actor to stylish indie director seemingly over the summer. But the truth is, his transformation was a long time coming. Mid-90s was a deeply personal journey that helped him begin to find his aesthetic and voice. Now he's back with the music video, "Sunflower," to Vampire Weekend. Vampire Weekend's newest album, “Father of the Bride,” is still a few weeks away from its late-April release, but they dropped the music video and track for “Sunflower” a little early. The video follows lead singer and songwriter Ezra Koenig through various famous New York locales, including Zabar’s and Barney Greengrass. He's joined by other celebrities along the way, from Jerry Seinfeld to rapper Fab 5 Freddy to The Internet’s Steve Lacy. Lacy also plays guitar on the track. The direction is the real stand out here, as Hill matches the song's vibe and spins the camera and screen to create a hallucinogenic vibe. Check out the video below. Read More...
