Grass Valley EDIUS X 10.20 Released – What’s New?

Grass Valley has just released an update to its Windows-only editing software: EDIUS X 10.20. This update includes numerous new features like ProRes RAW color space selection, background file conversion in Bin, faster processing, and H.264 file export leveraging NVIDIA GPU. Let’s take a closer look at it! EDIUS, which is now called EDIUS X since version 10.0 that was released in September 2020, is a Windows-only editing software that’s been around for more than 20 years now. While it is mostly used in broadcast environments, the software slowly made its path in the corporate and independent filmmakers market. With this new EDIUS X 10.20 update, the company worked hard to improve the performance of its software and bring new features for ProRes RAW shooters. EDIUS X 10.20 – What’s new? This new EDIUS X 10.20 version includes numerous changes, new features, and improvements, including: Added a warning message when attempting overwriting a file that EDIUS has already opened.Reduced occurrence of “Not Responding” during launching when third-party plug-ins take time to initialize.Support to show metadata of MOV/MP4 files at the Metadata view of Bin window.
