At the Godox booth at NAB 2024, Graham spoke with Rita from Godox about their new release, the Magic XT1 2.4 GHz wireless microphone system. This tiny system weighing only 8g/0.28oz fits in the palm of your hand and has quite a unique feature – the receiver itself is the charging case. Godox has produced several wireless systems recently – for example, the Godox WEC Compact Dual-Mic Wireless System (reviewed here) and the Godox VIRSO and VIRSO S (reviewed here). Here at NAB 2024, Rita walked us through the features of their new system, the Magic XT1, pointing out that having the receiver as the charging case was a real highlight. The Magic XT1 – features The Magic XT1 has a customizable OLED touchscreen and buttons, and in addition, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack. It features 48kHz/24bit Hi-Res audio with a 70dB SNR and a Max. 115dB SPL. Maximum LOS range is 200m/656ft. There are 3 recording modes: mono, stereo, and a safety track channel (-6dB B channel). The safety track signal, used as a backup, selects the most stable signal to send back to the receiver. Customizable OLED touchscreen.
