The MG6K’s primary selling point centers on power efficiency. The fixture achieves brightness comparable to a 6K HMI while consuming only 2300W of power. This is positioning the light as an attractive option for productions concerned with power consumption and heat generation. According to GODOX, this efficiency advantage allows them to “output the most light with the least power consumption” in their category, a claim that could prove particularly valuable for location shoots with limited power infrastructure. Technical Specifications and Features The MG6K offers full bi-color capability, with color temperature adjustment ranging from 2800K to 10,000K, plus green-magenta correction. This range covers the full spectrum typically required for professional cinematography, from warm tungsten matching to daylight balancing.
