Five New Cooke Full Frame Plus S7/i and Anamorphic/i Lenses

What’s cookin’? Plenty! British manufacturer of (very high) quality cine glass, Cooke Optics, just announced five new lenses to its FF+ (Full Frame Plus) range of primes. Four of them sit in the S7/i category, the Anamorphic/i lineup snaps the fifth new prime lens. Cooke has quite the reputation in the high-end cine production, the Cooke Look is something many cinematographers are after and –like me– Cooke claims that crazy-high resolution is not everything, looks matters! Now, since NAB 2020 is not gonna happen, at least not the way we know and love, Cooke decided to announce their 2020 lineup via zoom webinar. The company announces five new lenses and the press release comes along with a statement of Cooke Optics Chariman Les Zellan: We’re disappointed that we are unable to see many of our international friends at NAB this year, but this webinar will give people the opportunity to hear more about the new lenses, find out what else we are working on including Cooke Optics TV and #ShotOnCooke, and ask the questions that they would have been able to discuss on the stand. Hopefully the filmmaking community will be able to lay hands on these new lenses in real-life productions rather sooner than later!
