DJI has just released a new firmware update for its DJI Mini 2 drone that adds support for the DJI Smart Controller and an optimized gimbal FPV mode. Let’s take a closer look at it! The DJI Mini 2 is a foldable, lightweight, and very compact drone that came out in November 2020. With a similar size to the Mavic Mini, this tiny drone can capture footage at up to 4K UHD at 30fps, 2.7K at up to 60fps since its latest firmware update earlier this year, and RAW pictures. To further improve its drone capabilities, DJI has just released a new firmware update (v01.03.0000) that includes a couple of new features. DJI Mini 2 now compatible with the DJI Smart Controller The biggest headline of this firmware update is probably the added support of the DJI Smart Controller. Users will no longer need to plug their phone into the remote controller to operate the Mini 2. It means that you’ll be able to move more quickly and have access to a bigger screen.
