Two months after the release of the DJI Mavic 2, DJI is back with the Mavic 2 Enterprise. DJI’s new drone is designed for those who use their drone for other things than just fun and photo/video. Let’s take a look at this new drone aimed at businesses and see what it brings. An Expendable Drone It’s in the codename, but this modified version of the Mavic 2 Zoom is enterprise centered. The new features are orientated on the fact that it can save lives. This drone is aimed at emergency services, governments, educators, rescue personnel and other professionals that need a reliable everyday tool. The DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise comes equipped with an extension port. The port is a Micro-USB Type B socket. On this port, you can bolt-on accessories that makes it ideal for search operations and surveillance, but also filmmaking. M2E Spotlight One of the most useful new accessories for filmmakers is probably the small light that you can mount on top of the drone. This light consists of two LEDs with a total brightness of 2,400 lumens. It is useful to help search and rescue people in challenging environments. However, you can also use it for filmmaking applications. The main drawback is that you can only adjust the light angle (spot/flood) manually before the flight. M2E Beacon This accessory is probably one of the less useful for filmmaking. The M2E Beacon features a bright flashing strobe visible three miles away.
