DaVinci Resolve 20 Beta 4 Adds Keyframe and Remote Monitoring Upgrades

Blackmagic Design has just released Public Beta 4 of DaVinci Resolve 20 (not long after Beta 3, which we reported about recently), bringing several targeted improvements that continue to refine both the animation workflow and remote collaboration capabilities in the software’s beta cycle. One of the standout additions in this update is the introduction of a new “flat mode” for keyframe easing, which helps users create more realistic pauses in animated sequences. This feature is available on both the Edit and Cut pages and is especially useful when animating objects that require natural movement curves, such as a bouncing ball. The “flat” easing style ensures a brief standstill at the top or bottom of a motion arc, mimicking real-world physics and providing smoother visual flow. Curves editor gets clip handles and better easing control Another set of enhancements centers around the curves editor, a powerful tool for fine-tuning effects. With Beta 4, users can now enable clip handles – this exposes the unused frames before and after a clip, making it easier to apply smooth transitions and fine-grained adjustments to properties such as opacity, position, or zoom, even outside the visible clip boundaries. Additionally, right-clicking on a keyframe now brings up an overlay window with easing options, allowing for quick modifications without disturbing existing keyframe positions. This small but practical interface update aims to improve both speed and accuracy during curve-based adjustments. Constant updates for public beta versions of DaVinci Resolve 20.
