On the show floor at IBC 2023, we spoke with CVW’s Mr. Li Yuan, and had our first look at the Aurora Wireless 4K Video Transmission System, which was initially unveiled at NAB in April. The Aurora is a wireless 4K video transmission system capable of transmitting 4K HDR video with 10-bit and 4:2:2 over a distance of 500m/1640ft, with a claimed latency of <60 milliseconds. With all the wireless video transmission products in various price ranges on the market now, we wanted to see for ourselves what makes the Aurora stand out, so let’s have a look! Also, Li claims that it can transmit signals over a maximum distance of up to 500m/1640ft with a latency of less than 60ms (dependent on line-of-sight). This should ensure that broadcasts remain seamless and synchronized, which is especially crucial for live events, interviews, and real-time commentary.
