According to the company, increased efficiency in the manufacturing process was enough to justify the $4,000 price reduction (from $9,995 to just $5,995). Apparently, it looks like external circumstances are now forcing Blackmagic Design to follow the opposite trend. Indeed, a few days ago, an official statement – signed by CEO Grant Petty – popped up on the company’s Facebook page, announcing increased prices for a vast range of their products. Price increases seem to impact all categories of products, from cameras to live production switchers, passing through DaVinci Resolve control panels and consoles.
