    This is the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. I came from a film background and the shutter characteristics are one the things I hate the most about video. I can't seem to find a price on the site tho.

    Very interesting!

    The real thing is always better, but what about going with a higher shutter speed and adding motionblur in post. Which kind of shutter do these programms simulate?

    Hopefully they do a smooth shutter compared to the on-off-shutter.

    This shows the control box. It needs either genlock or another way to synch to the sensor, so don't expect anything similar for DSLRs anytime soon unfortunately.
