How should this be understood?

We have elite generally understanding that they need informational independence, as they understand how market works. But we also have part of elite who just want to spread the legs and provide the hole, had been such for hundreds of years.

Those who refuse to turn their political system into a democratic market must be beaten and forced to freedom. To do this, Freedom'n'Democracy ™ has military bases around the world and military expenditures that exceed those of all other countries combined.

Why can't everyone in the world hold "fair elections" and be more democratic than the Pope?

If a country wants to pursue an independent policy, it simply cannot afford to host an open democratic market in which it cannot compete with the capitals of the world hegemon.

In this case, there are only two outputs:

1. Give up independence. Completely lie under the fincap and resignedly accept all imposed decisions, counting on the mercy of the new owner.
2. Abandon Democracy ™. Establish a political dictatorship with an irreplaceable political elite, covering all this with imitation of free elections.

This is why all countries who do not lick ass of leading capitalist countries are declared as bad and totalitarian. And leading countries always push them to change their choice and select option number one.

It has horrible desktop client, code quality is bad, usability is subpar if you compare it all to Telegram.

Also one thing I do not understand is why all tech guys constantly refer to badly made niche products (that have some one or two internal functions made right) as solutions for masses.

For now Telegram is best quality chat client for desktop and tablets, and has best code quality with developers being managed proper way and result way better than all major chat clients.

But it reality, part of our elite blocked telegram while another part used it. Ended up in silent unblocking and most active guys fired.

Which run the infrastructure of this closed-source messenger, that allows millions of people to upload large files and stream videos complety for free. Thanks god, there are such selfless people around in mordor..
