Avid 6 AMA files

Just loaded up Avid 6 and linked some AVCHD and Red Epic 5k files. Strange how the AVCHD file from my GH2 44mbps are alot harder to work with then my 5k epic files.

Is the avchd playback dropping frames?

i have same experience, virtually impossible to play Driftwood GH2 file via AMA plugin on my i7 laptop,so got to wait for transcode...

Transcode time should be faster after AMA mouting, that's what was said in avid forum

yep i noticed then transcodes are faster now...dont remember if files were in AMA mode...will defo look into it
