A 48-hour curfew in 31 provinces, including major cities such as Istanbul and Ankara, affecting 63 million people, is set to be lifted at midnight tonight.

"Smart" guys made it such that all people made huge crowds around shops ( as announcement had been 2 hours before total 48 hours lockdown).

Overalll all lockdown measures failed worldwide.

  • Here, we report that nelfinavir, an HIV-1 protease inhibitor, potently inhibited replication of SARS-CoV-2. The effective concentrations for 50% and 90% inhibition (EC50 and EC90) of nelfinavir were 1.13 micro M and 1.76 micro M respectively, the lowest of the nine HIV-1 protease inhibitors including lopinavir. The trough and peak serum concentrations of nelfinavir were three to six times higher than EC50 of this drug. These results suggest that nelfinavir is a potential candidate drug for the treatment of COVID-19 and should be assessed in patients with COVID-19.

  • US startups are going down

Martin Pichinson is the head of Sherwood Partners, a Silicon Valley consulting firm. Martin Pichinson said: “This is great unwinding.” The company’s business is to advise on failed start-up restructuring. He said that in recent weeks, his company’s phone has been hit, the number is the highest in history. Three to four times the amount of calls received.

Job cutting isd expected to double in coming weeks, especially in California.

  • @Vitaliy....culpability will definitely be assessed ...by many lawsuits, and possibly by criminal indictments. That's how US law works. If it finds criminal culpability or civil, China will forfeit. Look what happened in 911 culpability. Victims have been suing Saudis. The only reason Saudis haven't paid is it's classified and they have all the oil. Won't happen with this. China isn't a strategic ally. The damage is too wide spread. So, the viruses origin story will continue to grow stronger. China knows this. That's why they're destroying evidence.

  • @Vitaliy...no amount of restructuring will save them. It requires alternative models that you sell to the investors, and those no longer exist. Hope to see many of those silicon valley types setting up house in homeless camps.

  • @kurth

Just calm down, give it few months. So much will happen during them so no one will care.

  • Walt Disney World in Florida plans to furlough 43,000 workers, the New York Times reports

    Nice

  • In San Antonio, 10,000 families began arriving before dawn on Thursday at a now-shuttered swap meet hall to receive boxes of food. Normally, 200 to 400 families might show up during a normal food distribution.

    Capitalism kills.

  • Mordor relative numbers

    • 130 dead - since January 1st from coronavirus (make it 3 months rough)
    • 6410 dead in last year due to pneumonia in same period
    • 4500 dead due to suicides in same period
    • 12000 dead due to alcohol induced issues
  • On testing delays

In almost all countries qPRC tests take not 2-4 hours as intended, but 3-10 days.

Due to such approach lot of people who have flu or any other respiratory decease or becterial pneumonia are being thrown into packed coronavirus hospitals, while lot of coronavirus patients are not being treated properly in time.

  • @Vitaliy....""Due to such approach lot of people who have flu or any other respiratory decease or becterial pneumonia are being thrown into packed coronavirus hospitals""....how do you jump to these assumptions? Most any bacterial based pneumonia would respond rapidly to antibiotics, which nearly always is first line of defense. In fact, I would jump to the assumption, that because people and doctors are being cautious, cases of bacterial pneumonia are rare, since most people would take antibiotics at the drop of a hat.

  • @kurth

Doctors do not have time to sort people with similar things now, and with each day they have less time. Most of people who have similar symptoms are being placed together.

Delay with tests can actually 3-5x increase death rate allowing virus to spread to already weak people whod di not have it yet.

And it is also statistics for pneumonia that makes you think such as it is almost vanished from reports (all types that is not associated with coronavirus).

Also note that all medical statistics is very complex and specially significantly delayed as it is being changed by insurance companies and officials later. For illness like flu that is specially tracked each hospital do everything to write people who have it to some other category or do not write at all.

  • @Vitaliy...I googled it and nothing even hints that bacterial pneumonia is being mistaken for corona. If a person wakes up with a sore throat, what's the first thing they'll do ? Probably start a 7 day regimen of antibiotics. That's what I'll do ! Got the little bottle right here. If it's bacterial, it'll never reach a critical stage. Most bacterial pneumonia is caused by neglect of the initial infection. If it progresses and the symptoms worsen while taking antibiotics, then you've got a virus. Now other types of viruses could be mistaken for corona, and a normal influenza could be easily mistaken in the beginning...but the reason I'd assume bacterial pneumonia has disappeared is paranoia. And maybe Mexico is special, but there's still plenty of medical access here. I can see a doctor in 5 minutes for $2 US.

  • @Vitaliy...morgan stanley ...looks like elites optimism for getting slaves back to work. No one knows anything about the second wave, much less that it'll be smaller. And just look at when they think the vaccine will be ready. Must have some inside info from mossad.

  • @kurth

    trumpster's november downfall...

Always ignore the bad game where intelligence select few of their reports and claim - "we told". Issue is that it is usually tiny number in huge information stream that had at least 10x more reports from same sources claiming that it is all false and no biggie.

  • “As countries begin to lift coronavirus lockdowns, biometric identification can help verify those who have already had the infection, and ensure that the vulnerable get the vaccine when it is launched, health and technology experts said,

We will clearly see all this in coming months. Lot of surprises coming.

Seems like total movement tracking, biometric ID and special associated pass will be standard since September in all major countries. At first it'll become standard for longer movements and will end with huge fine if you leave your home without fingerprint/face identification and with your smartphone with you.

  • @Vitaliy....a request. When you quote something like this, and then draw radical suppositions, please give the link, because source is everything. thanx/k

  • @kurth

    Use Google, Luke....

I add link to citation if it is much more of interesting content available as you check the link, or it is research paper or such.

  • you're quoting it out of context ...because obviously this is directed at china, when you read the article .... https://www.reuters.com/article/health-coronavirus-tech/biometric-ids-can-be-gamechanger-in-coronavirus-antibody-tests-vaccine-idUSL8N2BV0BI
