Google's less profitable ventures exist under the Alphabet, inc company, whilst Google itself is an "internet" company which makes the profit . Basically, Google shareholders don't want to mess with anything unprofitable.
The establishment of Alphabet was prompted by a desire to make the core Google Internet services business "cleaner and more accountable" while allowing greater autonomy to group companies that operate in businesses other than Internet services. Wikipedia

At least Google is spending some R&D money on many of those future-looking technologies and projects though. And occasionally some of that tech even makes its way into the hands of end users.
A lot of companies would look at this kind of revenue statement and not even bother with any of the stuff in item 2.
