G7's 14-42 kit lens - will image stabilization work on GH-1?

    The newest 14-42 kit lens has no switch for image stabilization as do the older IS lenses for the GH-1.

    Can anyone tell me if the new kit lens's image stabilization will work when mounted on the GH-1?

    Yes, through menu.

    Thanks very much for your reply, yskunto.

    I found the stabilizer option in the GH1's record menu, but it is limited to MODES 1, 2 and 3. There does not appear to be an option to turn stabilization off as with the G7.

    (I'm interested because the only reason I would order a G7 with the kit lens is if I could use it with my trusty GH-1 too.)
